Jetro Platforms, a leading vendor of server-based application delivery and virtualization software solutions today announced that it has partnered with Chip PC, a global technology leader in thin client and virtual desktop solutions to offer Plug PC– a new miniature Thin Client desktop with high-end multimedia functionality.

 

Plug PC, which is optimized for Jetro Terminal and VDI Virtualization Desktop environments, is a Linux based system that can be remotely managed using Xcalibur Global management software. Allowing organizations to save up to 90% capital and operation expenditure compared with laptop/desktop PCs and up to 50% compared to competing Thin Clients, the solution is 100% immune to internet viruses and offers 100% hardware and remote management reliability. A Jetro Cockpit-managed server farm, offers a range of application delivery, load-balancing, management and security features and benefits.
