Objectives

A successful installation of Xcalibur XP server requires that additional components are installed on the Host computer prior to installation. This article provides a quick check list to ensure all prerequisites have been met.

Before running the Xcalibur XP setup program please verify the following items are installed and configured:

1. Verify the Host Computer is a member of the domain.
2. Verify you have administrative rights on the Host computer and domain.
3. Verify that the partition into which Xcalibur XP will be installed is formatted with NTFS.
4. Verify the target partition has enough free space (at least 500 MB).
5. Verify that the Windows 2000 SNMP service is installed and running.
6. Verify that the Windows 2000 IIS service with WWW support is installed and running.
7. Verify that the Xcalibur SNMP user is configured and has domain administration rights.
8. Verify that SQL 2000 server/MSDE 2000 database is installed and running.
