Objectives

This document teaches how to set the client device default input language and the user interface language to French. The task will be performed directly from the client device.

The method taught will be based on the following steps:

1. Access the language settings on the client device
2. Configure the default input language
3. Restart the client device

Applicable Product Version

Chip PC thin client device with firmware Version 6.5.3.

Procedure

Accessing the client device WBT Configuration screen

1. From the Task Bar select: Start \ Settings \ Device
   Select the Input tab to access the language settings.

Configure the Client Device Input Language

1. From the Input tab click the Details… button.
2. Select French language from the languages list.
3. Select French from the Select default input languages: drop-down list.
   
   
   
4. Click OK to return to the WBT Configuration screen.
5. Click OK to save the new settings. The Settings Changed screen appears.

 

Restart the client device

1. Click OK to apply the new settings and restart your device.
2. Wait for the boot process to complete.

Conclusion

• The client device default input language and the user interface language is now set to French.
