This document will teach you how to setup My WBT from your client device. My WBT is a customized WBT Configuration screen in which only specifically selected tabs are accessible to the user. When access to the full WBT settings are blocked by a password the user can be allowed access to a limited selection of configuration options via My WBT.
The method taught will be based on the following steps:
Access the security settings on the client device.
Configure the My WBT setup.
Verify that the new My WBT setup applies.
Applicable Product Version
Chip PC thin client device with firmware Version 6.5.3.
Procedure
Access the security settings on the client device
Perform the following tasks on your client device: Select: Start \ Settings \ Device to open the WBT configuration screen. Select the Security tab to access the security settings.
Configure the My WBT setup.
From the Security tab, select the Enable My WBT Setup option to activate the Customize… button
Click the Customize… button. To display the Customize ‘My WBT Setup…’ view dialog box.
Select the desired configuration tags.
Click OK to save the setup and to return to the Security tab in the WBT Configuration screen.
Click OK again to close the WBT Configuration screen and to display the SettingsChanged dialog box.
Click OK to apply the new settings and restart your device.
Wait for the boot process to complete.
Verify that the new My WBT setup applies
Select: Start \ Settings \ My WBT Setup… to open the customized WBT configuration screen.
