1  Objectives

This document explains how to create a new IP scope in Xcalibur Global.  

2  Applicable Product Versions

This document is based on an environment with the following installed software versions:

• Xcalibur Global Version 1.1 Rev. 2

3  Procedure

1. On the Task Bar, click Start > Programs > Xcalibur Global 1.1 > Management Console to launch the Xcalibur Global Management Console.
2. In the Xcalibur Console window, expand the Xcalibur Farm Manager folder.

3. In the Xcalibur Farm Manager folder, select and expand the Sites folder.

4. In the Sites folder, select and expand the site where the new scope is to be created (North America in this example).

5. In the site folder (North America in this example), select and right-click IP Scopes to open a menu.

6. On the menu, click New > Scope… to open the Define New IP Scope dialog box.
7. In the Define New IP Scope dialog box, perform the following actions to define the new IP scope:
   1. In the Start Address box, type the beginning IP address.
   2. In the End Address box, type the last IP address.
   3. In the Net Mask box, type the Subnet Mask.
   4. In the Display Name box, type a descriptive name for the IP scope.

   5. Click Add to add the new IP scope to the list of IP scopes:

   6. Click Close to complete this procedure and to return to the Xcalibur Global Management Console.

4  Process Outcome:

• A new IP scope was created in Xcalibur Global.
