How to Create a New IP Scope in Xcalibur Global
1 Objectives
This document explains how to create a new IP scope in Xcalibur Global.
2 Applicable Product Versions
This document is based on an environment with the following installed software versions:
- Xcalibur Global Version 1.1 Rev. 2
3 Procedure
- On the Task Bar, click Start > Programs > Xcalibur Global 1.1 > Management Console to launch the Xcalibur Global Management Console.
- In the Xcalibur Console window, expand the Xcalibur Farm Manager folder.

- In the Xcalibur Farm Manager folder, select and expand the Sites folder.

- In the Sites folder, select and expand the site where the new scope is to be created (North America in this example).

- In the site folder (North America in this example), select and right-click IP Scopes to open a menu.

- On the menu, click New > Scope… to open the Define New IP Scope dialog box.
- In the Define New IP Scope dialog box, perform the following actions to define the new IP scope:
- In the Start Address box, type the beginning IP address.
- In the End Address box, type the last IP address.
- In the Net Mask box, type the Subnet Mask.
- In the Display Name box, type a descriptive name for the IP scope.

- Click Close to complete this procedure and to return to the Xcalibur Global Management Console.
4 Process Outcome:
- A new IP scope was created in Xcalibur Global.
