Does Flex-Jack support TIA-568A or B?
It supports both. Wire color coding for both A and B available on a colored label attached to the housing connector.

Do I have to use a shielded LAN cable?
No. You can use a shielded or non-shielded cable.

Can I order Flex-Jacks and Jack-PCs in colors other than white?

What is the maximum LAN cable length usable with the Jack-PC?
Typically 100 meters or less. Longer cables may work depending on cable quality, the switch and the environment.

Can I buy just the Flex-Jack?
Yes. Flex-Jacks are sold separately.

What happens if I need a special Flex-Jack configuration for particular site or installation option?

Do I need to buy a Flex-Jack separately when buying Jack-PC?
No. The device always sold with an installation kit (housing and IDC termination housing connector block).

Flex-Jack part of a standard?
Flex-Jack is an open standard invented and patented by Chip PC. Other vendors can build various network appliances to fit the standard housing and electrical interface.

Can I use Flex-Jacks in industrial environment?
Yes, as long as basic operation requirements are kept.

Can I install a Jack-PC without the Flex-Jacks?
No. The Flex-Jack is the only approved media that can interface with the module contacts.
