What are the Benefits of Flex-Jack as Compared to Standard LAN Jacks?
Flex-Jack enables rapid deployment of various network appliances through plug-in modules. This concept not only simplifies initial deployment but also greatly reduces maintenance and support and enables fast reconfiguration. In addition, Flex-Jack can provide strong location authentication to augment the network security scheme.

Can I install Flex-Jack on top of existing LAN jacks?
Flex-Jack typically replaces existing LAN jacks. Depending on existing wall cutout, Flex-Jack will easily fit inside most existing installations

Do I need to rewire the LAN Jack in order to install Flex-Jack and Jack PC?
No, you can leave the existing jack and use Chip PC's RJ-45 termination kit. Rewiring is optional if LAN jacks are old, damaged or if wall space cannot hold the old jack and the termination cable.

Does Flex-Jack support European style Jack cut-out?
Yes. Chip PC provide standard 8 x 8 cm wall plates as part of the European kit.

Does Flex-Jack support UK style Jack cut-out?
Yes. Chip PC's EU kit will fit inside UK cutout or network wiring box. In some cases some minor changes will be required during the installation.

Does Flex-Jack support US style Jack cut-out?
Yes. Chip PC's US kit will fit inside US cutout or network wiring box. Matched wall plate provided with the kit. In some cases some minor changes will be required during the installation.

Can I install Flex-Jack on top of existing LAN jacks?
No. Flex-Jack designed to fit inside the LAN jack or in outside fitted boxes.

Does Flex-Jack support other products?
Yes. Flex-Jack currently supports thin-clients, LAN jacks, LAN Switches, covers, Security appliances and wireless access point / router. New options are under development.

What is the benefit of replacing ALL LAN jacks with Flex-Jacks?
The main benefit is in the standardization. One form factor and one management solution can handle all deployment options. Another advantage is the location authentication feature that can enhance the site security together with the anti-theft locking feature.

What is the cost implication of replacing every LAN jack with Flex-Jack?
Cost is similar to installing standard LAN jacks. Location Authentication may add some costs but it is an optional feature.
